Murphy Elementary School
Mrs. Diane Kimbrell
Hello! I am Diane Kimbrell, the guidance counselor at Murphy Elementary School. This is my nineth year working for Cherokee County Schools.
I work with the students on a variety of topics including bullying, self-esteem, friendship, anger management, and many more.
During classroom guidance lessons the students will participate in the state mandated anti-drug lessons through the Mendez “Too Good for Drugs” curriculum. Through this program, they will learn self-esteem building, decision-making, friendship, etc., which will help them overall when it comes to making the decision to say “no” to drugs and alcohol.
I also work with the Foster Grandparents program, the Manna Food Bag Program, the Big Brother/Big Sister program and the school CARE Team.
