Hello & Welcome to First Grade!

A little about me:

This is my sixth year at MES and I
am very thankful to be teaching such an amazing group of children. This is my 19th year of teaching; my 11th in First grade. I spent 8 years teaching in Florida where I graduated from Saint Leo University. I am National Board Certified, have a Masters in Early Childhood Education and School Administration, and I absolutely love my job!

I have been married for 25 years to my best friend and we have an uniquely crazy cat!

My hobbies range from riding motorcycles to curling up with a good book.

The First Grade Team has worked very hard this summer to create engaging lessons and many hands on experiences for your child. While our curriculum increases in intensity, we have made every effort to meet the needs of each and every student in our classrooms.

Parents are encouraged to e-mail me with questions or concerns at:

Please read below on how to help your child become a proficient reader along with some math resources.
