21st Century Afterschool Program
 
Cherokee County Schools 21st Century Community Learning Center afterschool programs (21st CCLC) is a federally funded grant initiative for students that attend Title 1 schools. The 21st CCLC programs provide both academic enrichment and supplementary academic activities and resources to promote student academic success and growth within the school environment. The focus of the CCS 21st CCLC is to incorporate STEAM (Science, Technology, ELA, Arts, and Math) activities and projects to reinforce and enhance a student's learning experience beyond the regular school day.

Murphy Elementary School After-School Care Program 
 
Murphy Elementary offers a tuition-based after-school childcare program following regular school dismissal. The purpose of this program is to provide a supplemental extension of the regular school schedule. The program provides enrichment activities and extra social interaction with peers in a well-supervised, structured environment. After-school is licensed by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Resources, Division of Child Development. The program serves students in Pre-K through 5th grades.
