Principal, Mrs. Allison Brown

Hello! I am Allison Mauney Brown, principal of Murphy Elementary School. I am excited to have the opportunity to continue serving the families of Murphy Elementary in this new role. I was raised in Cherokee County in the Peachtree community. I have been privileged to work for Cherokee County Schools for twenty-four years in various capacities. Prior to becoming a principal, I had many leadership experiences including being an instructional coach, lead teacher, Pre-K program director, and assistant principal in Cherokee County Schools. All of these experiences have given me a broad perspective of the school environment, but I am committed to being an advocate for my students first and foremost. My educational background includes an Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Science in Birth-Kindergarten Education, a Master of Arts in Elementary Education (K-6), and an Education Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership. I am also Nationally Board Certified in Early Childhood Generalist.

I am very blessed to have two beautiful children of my own, Kameron and Alyssa. Motherhood is one of the most important things in my life and I am thankful for both of my children every day. Just as I am with each of your children, I am amazed at each and every accomplishment they achieve. My goals for them are very simple, I hope for them to experience happiness and success in whatever they choose to do in their lives. My goals for your children are exactly the same!

It is my pleasure to lead so many wonderful teachers and students at Murphy Elementary School. My goal is to continue to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to learning and growing together. I hope to help create a culture of support and growth for both teachers and students. I look forward to working with all stakeholders to continue serving Murphy Elementary and our community.
